Origin & Inspiration
Each coin case begins with a symbolic study: the most defining lines of the medieval gryphon are drawn from ancient manuscripts and reimagined into a custom cliché to preserve the finest ornamental traits. The piece is then hand-tooled in high-quality Italian vegetable-tanned leather, carefully dyed, saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread, and burnished for a smooth, lasting finish.

Selected Materials
The Gryphon Coin Case is order-made, not from stock. Its compact shape fits easily in your hand, while its symbolism resonates with centuries of meaning. Each piece is hand-tooled and hand-finished from 100% Italian vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from Walpier and Badalassi and certified by the “Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale”. It is saddle-stitched with waxed pure linen thread. A certificate seal from the Consortium is included with every case, attesting to the origin and integrity of the leather. You can personalise dye tones, thread colours, and internal leathers to reflect your preferences. Over time, the leather develops a patina, giving it more expression.
