Origin & Inspiration

This piece is not merely a keychain; it is a tribute to the Monde Renversé (The World Upside Down). Inspired by the marginalia of 13th-century illuminated manuscripts, this warrior rabbit, often dubbed "Stickhare" represents the moment the weak strike back against the strong. In the ancient margins, these rabbits did not flee; they armed themselves with shields and swords to hunt the hunters. I have captured that spirit of defiance. This is not a mass-produced trinket, but a historical totem, designed to remind the bearer that even the smallest creature carries the weight of a warrior.

Artisanal Method

Every single hare is born from hours of meticulous labor. I use the swivel-knife cut technique to prepare the figure , followed by complex hand-tooling (carving) to define the fur and the weaponry. The leather is not printed; it is sculpted. Finally, I apply an oil-based dye and a manual antique finish to create a patina that mimics the look of a centuries-old manuscript page.
